1. Visible corsets
It might be the biggest wedding dress trend of 2025: visible corsets. They are often designed in a slightly translucent fabric and with visible boning. This makes for an extra romantic, glamorous and sexy look.

2. Bling bling
Bling bling is very in, in 2025 - as long as the dress glitters and sparkles! The many sparkles in the new collections include sequins, crystal embellishments and pearls - often attached to transparent fabrics. While pearls often create a chic look, they can also provide a playful effect.

3. Capes & Watteau trains
Capes are totally hot & happening in 2025. The watteau, a train attached to your dress at the level of your shoulders and falling down with a cape effect, is also gaining popularity. This trend gives a unique touch to your wedding dress and creates a contemporary and almost royal look. What's extra nice about a cape or watteau train is that you can take them on and off, to achieve a different look.
Besides the more modern cape, the classic veil is also making a comeback. Bold statement veils in particular are all the rage. Think of veils finished with bows, pearls or lots of bling!

4. Sustainable wedding dresses
Sustainability is also a major trend in the wedding industry. We therefore see bridal fashion brands focusing strongly on this. Marylise and Rembo Styling, for example, are actively pursuing the lowest possible environmental impact. These Belgian brands are committed to more sustainable packaging and communication, local sourcing and production, and keeping their production waste to a minimum. They also tailor a wedding dress only when it was effectively ordered by a bride.

5. Off the shoulder
At Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, we spotted many striking necklines and bare shoulders. Here, sleeves are worn mainly off shoulder, or over one shoulder while the other remains bare. Strapless wedding dresses are also a common sight in 2025.
This versatile trend can be combined with a lot of necklines. In 2025, the sweetheart neckline in particular is gaining popularity - a soft and elegant look.

6. Halterneck
Besides strapless and off-the-shoulder dresses, we also see high necklines gaining popularity. These often come back with a lace trim and sometimes transition below the neck into a (partially) open back.

7. Loose sleeves and gloves
We also saw sleeves pass by often on the catwalk. Within this trend, the options are numerous: shorter, lacy sleeves create a romantic and playful look, while long sleeves make you look chic and glamorous. In many cases, you can either detach the sleeves from the dress or opt for (long) gloves - which will also be hot in 2025!

8. Hollywood glam
With this trend you go for an 'old Hollywood moment': think glamorous dresses with lots of satin, pearls and a dramatic effect, emphasising your silhouette. Accessories that add a touch of Hollywood glamour, such as a pearl necklace and a fur jacket, complete this look!

9. Belle of the ball
Princess dresses with full skirts are once again being seen on the catwalk! These statement skirts consist of a lot of fabric, texture and volume. We mainly spot tulle skirts, but you can also create this effect with satin! Are you going for the princess look?

10. Bows!
Bows are everywhere during this Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week. Think of bows in all possible shapes, both small and subtle and super large statement bows - incorporated in your dress, on your shoes, as a finishing touch in your hair... With a bow you are totally in!

11. Flower Power
Do you prefer flowers over bows or pearls? Perfect, because 3D flowers -flowers sewn onto your dress that partially stick out- are also hugely trendy in 2025. They give your dress an eye-catching texture and offer an ideal variation (or addition!) to the classic lace wedding dress.

12. Black details
It is perhaps the most striking and bold trend we spotted on the catwalk this year: wedding dresses finished with black details, such as black bows or flowers. Finish this look with black accessories such as gloves or shoes to complete the picture!

13. Basque & drop waists for an accentuated waistline
Basque waists and drop waists that provide an extra accentuated waistline are also shown by a lot of designers.
With a drop waist, the waist visually falls lower than your natural waist, and is more likely to come down to your hips - making your upper body appear longer.
A basque waist falls slightly lower than your natural waist, and the seams of the waist bend towards the middle to form a 'V' that points downwards. This close-fitting bodice, which comes slightly lower than a corset, tapers from the waist or just below, together with the skirt, accentuating your waistline beautifully. This romantic style is often combined by designers with satin bows for an extra dramatic look.

14. Mini dresses & bridal rompers
It has been a big trend over the past few years, and it will be in 2025 as well: the mini dress! Perfect to let your long legs shine during your summer wedding. In addition, the mini dress is an ideal choice as an extra wedding dress for your civil wedding or for the evening dance party.
Also trendy: a long wedding dress that you can transform into a mini dress (or vice versa). In this high-low combo, the skirt consists of several layers that you can detach from each other, giving you a new outfit in no time.
Besides the mini dress, the 'bridal romper' is also gaining popularity. While a jumpsuit has long trousers, this one-piece consists of short shorts at the bottom.
