Food as a mood-setter on your wedding day
Whether it’s an intimate reception or a lively dinner, food brings people together. Veronique from Foodart says: “With a walking dinner or a food-sharing concept, you notice guests move around more freely. They don’t just talk to the people next to or across from them at the table—they also spontaneously mingle with others, taste together, and share tips about their favourite dishes. That creates energy, connection, and a great atmosphere.”
Presentation also plays a major role. “At Foodart, we pay a lot of attention to how dishes look. Beautifully plated bites or artistically styled buffets really make a difference. People eat with their eyes too, and that also shapes the overall aesthetic of the wedding celebration. Sometimes flavours or aromas even bring back memories.”

Sharing, walking dinner, or OFYR: always interactive
Foodart works with different concepts, each enhancing the experience in its own way. With food sharing, dishes are shared at the table, naturally sparking conversation. With a walking dinner, smaller dishes circulate throughout the room, making guests feel freer to move around and connect with different people.
And then there’s OFYR catering: a show-cooking experience around an atmospheric fire plate, which Veronique says often becomes the heart of the celebration: “The OFYR is such a special experience. The open wood fire creates warmth and cosiness. Guests often gather around it in small groups, impressed by what’s happening. It becomes a true experiential kitchen—in summer and in winter.”

Refined yet relaxed
How do you bring elegance into an informal atmosphere? Foodart shows it can be done perfectly. Veronique: “Our dishes are always refined: pure flavours, carefully prepared and beautifully presented. But that doesn’t mean everything has to be formal. We translate refined recipes into signature bites_, stylish buffets, or shared platters—so guests can still enjoy a culinary treat in a relaxed setting.”_
That mix of effortless and well thought-out is ideal for many couples. “A lot of couples want a celebration that feels spontaneous, while still being perfectly taken care of. At Foodart, we see that as a fun challenge,” Veronique laughs.

Something for everyone
Anyone with a specific dietary preference or allergy doesn’t need to worry. “Our menus are flexible and versatile,” Veronique emphasises. “For OFYR and food-sharing catering as well as walking dinners, we provide plenty of vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free, and gluten-free options. We coordinate everything carefully with the couple in advance, so we’re sure to take everyone into account.”

Which concept suits your celebration?
Veronique advises couples to think carefully about the atmosphere they want to create: “A formal wedding dinner calls for a different approach than a very informal garden party. The number of guests also matters: for large groups, buffets or food stands are often practical, and a walking dinner is still perfectly possible.”
If you choose a specific theme, you can carry it through in both the menu and the styling. “For an Italian-style wedding celebration, for example, you could opt for a gastronomic OFYR barbecue or a walking dinner menu, fully in an Italian vibe. We then style the buffets with lemons, herbs, and the colours of Italy,” Veronique shares.
